Catalog Description Supervised participation in, the advanced level of, specialized theatre productions including community outreach tours, intersession/short term productions and student one-act play productions. 4. Course Objectives The student will: a. Apply existing acting and advanced skills of the theatre for specific production. b. Formulate and demonstrate advanced acting and technical skills during rehearsals and performances. c. Demonstrate specific directions provided by the shows director/technical manager. d. Analysis for textual and character, vocal, and movement needs specific for a production. 5. Instructional Facilities a. Theatre arts complexLab Theatre, Stagehouse Theatre. b. Costume shop and makeup room, scene shop and backstage areas. c. Off campus sites used during community outreach productions. 6. Special Materials Required of Student None. 7. Course Content a. Advanced level acting techniques and stage movement and the interrelationship of all technical elements for a given production, while working with a director and the theatre arts staff. b. Detailed character analysis and development related to specific production. c. Blocking rehearsals, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals. d. Public performances as scheduled.
